Terms of Service

Updated at 2026-07-04

Terms governing use of the Nordic Carbon website. Platform and professional services are governed by your customer agreement.

Agreement to terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Nordic Carbon website at nordiccarbon.tech and related marketing materials (the "Site"). By accessing the Site, you agree to these Terms.

Access to the Nordic Carbon Sustainability Operating System, professional services, and paid offerings is governed by a separate customer agreement, order form, or statement of work. If there is a conflict between these Terms and a signed customer agreement, the customer agreement controls for that engagement.

Who we are

Nordic Carbon provides an AI-native Sustainability Operating System and related consulting and implementation services for enterprise organizations. We help manufacturers and industrial enterprises connect sustainability data, automate reporting, and operate compliance workflows.

Use of the Site

You may use the Site for lawful business purposes, including learning about our offerings and contacting us. You agree not to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Site or related infrastructure.
  • Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract content except as permitted by applicable law or with our prior written consent.
  • Use the Site to transmit malware, spam, or unlawful content.
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting us.

Services and engagements

Descriptions of the platform, features, and services on the Site are for general information. Commercial terms - including scope, fees, service levels, data processing, and support - are defined in the applicable customer agreement.

Early access, pilots, and proof-of-concept engagements may include additional limitations, evaluation licenses, and feedback obligations as set out in writing.

Accounts and access

If we provide you with credentials or invite you to a workspace, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

Customer administrators are responsible for managing user roles and access within their organization, including access to supplier data, evidence, and reporting outputs.

Customer data and AI features

Customer-controlled sustainability and operational data remains the customer's property. We process that data to provide the services under the customer agreement and applicable data processing terms.

AI-assisted features operate under platform governance controls, including approval gates for outputs that affect disclosures or external stakeholders, audit logging, and restrictions on direct model-provider access to customer data unless configured for the customer environment. AI outputs may require human review before use in regulated reporting.

Intellectual property

The Site, platform software, documentation, branding, and related materials are owned by Nordic Carbon or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for limited rights expressly granted in a customer agreement, no license is granted by implication or otherwise.

Feedback you provide about the Site or services may be used by Nordic Carbon to improve our offerings without obligation to you.

Confidentiality

Information exchanged in sales, discovery, and implementation discussions may be confidential. Each party agrees to protect the other's non-public information with reasonable care and use it only for the purpose of evaluating or delivering services, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Third-party services and links

The Site may link to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices. Your use of third-party services is governed by their terms.

Disclaimers

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nordic Carbon disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement regarding the Site.

Nothing on the Site constitutes legal, accounting, or compliance advice. Customers remain responsible for their regulatory obligations and for validating platform outputs before disclosure or external use.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nordic Carbon is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising from use of the Site.

Liability for paid services is governed by the applicable customer agreement. For Site use alone, our aggregate liability is limited to one hundred euros (EUR 100) or the minimum amount required by applicable law.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nordic Carbon from claims arising out of your misuse of the Site or violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms for Site use.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory local law applies. Courts in Denmark have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from Site use, unless a customer agreement specifies otherwise for a commercial engagement.
